I’ve found that some people conflate knowing our authentic self with being rigid and stubborn, following our own needs without regard to what’s happening in the environment around us. But authentic self knowledge simply means you know yourself well enough that you can adjust optimally in relation to your current context. It’s about being able to flow out into the world from deep inside yourself with a gentle flexibility, while still honoring our core self. How can we flow outward while remaining connected to our center?
