TRE In Our Community

Photos from a couple months ago where I taught the practice of TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) to a group of sexual assault survivors at a women’s retreat. We had an incredible discussion about learning to self regulate, the importance of tuning into body cues of agitation or over stimulation, and allowing yourself space to release and rest in constructive ways. Several participants described feeling a profound sense of calmness or peace after the exercises. Other participants remarked about how the exercises gave them a safe frame work to become much more aware of their bodies and body sensations. I am so excited to be spreading awareness about nervous system health, regulation, and TRE in my community!
