“Bad” Feelings

Negative feelings are really misnamed! There is nothing inherently negative about these types of feelings. They are a sign that you have been hurt. They are a signal that you need care, you need gentleness, you need to hold space for yourself. Negative feelings need to be sat beside and gently nurtured. People are quick to try to push aside or get rid of negative feelings, which only tells the body that you don’t care about what it has to say or is trying to express. And we lose out on the many messages of wisdom that these feelings can provide for us when we hold them. When they have the opportunity to be embraced in this way they will release on their own when they are ready.
